Overview: Ching Ching finds it difficult to get along with Wai Chiu's family. She complains often to Wai Chiu, who patiently pacifies her, and promises her that they would move out as soon as he finds a suitable flat. Ching Ching flies into a temper when she loses a diamond ring. Thinking that the amah Ah Ping has stolen it, she accuses her of theft. She is convinced of Ah Ping's innocence only after Wai Chiu uncovers the ring in the mango pudding that she herself has made. Wai Chiu finds a suitable flat and breaks the good news to Ching Ching. But Ching Ching resolves to stay with the family, so that she could save up the rental money.
